Mistakes are part of our world
As the lessons of life unfurl
Overwhelming us at times
Treasures we sometimes find

When sorrow's hand touches you
It's a heavy burden to cope with too
Such a hard lesson to learn
As your heart cries and your soul yearns

Walk slowly if you must
But do not lose sight of trust
Find that which illuminates your heart
Faith will free you from the dark

Seek out your brightest days on Earth
The sun rising is a new day at birth
Another set of lessons yearning
To be fulfilled as we keep learning
